The only real repair method
My first experience with the Northstar stud kit was several years ago when I had head gasket failure on my 2002 Deville DTS.
The repair was done by a regional mechanic and completely resolved the issue.
My most recent experience was with my 2011 DTS. I had the stud kit installed while the engine was apart during a bottom end reseal.
Installing the stud kit as a repair or simply preemptively will ensure you the ability to enjoy your Northsta,r trouble free, for years to come.
Worth Every Cent & The Effort
I have a 1997 Cadillac Deville Base Model. Contrary to what people say these are good engines, with the exception for this unfortunate design flaw which NSP mastered the legit fix for (the “head gasket issues” which people mistake, when really it’s the head bolt design + lack of maintenance ex. Changing coolant and oil regularly)(not to say that head gaskets don’t fail). My engine was very tired at 167k Mi after the prior owner abused the car, and I drive it spirited. My engine had coolant system issues intermittently, but mainly leaked oil from everywhere. I heard about NSP through my friend Steve who researched and learned these cars religiously after owning 4 Devilles. I ended up doing the “Bulletproof Kit” which includes these studs, I had a spare engine which I rebuilt and then swapped in place of my original engine. The parts you’re buying are very well made, high quality and a very easy kit to use. Engine removal is best from the top rather than dropping the cradle in my opinion. I’m very confident my car will last a very long time now with this kit installed, as many others who’ve installed it have also achieved higher miles and less headaches down the road. Solved the problem
Years ago my 1997 Eldorado blew a head gasket and the bolt hole threads were stripped. I used this kit and have not had any issues since. 12 years so far, trouble free driving. Thank you Northstar Performance!
