Oversized main stud kit for 1996-2011 Northstar V8 all models. Requires rethreading the holes, and includes the installation kit: alignment tool as well as a threading tap. No drilling is required, you simple tap right over the existing threads.

Oversized main stud kit for 1996-2011 Northstar V8 all models. Requires rethreading the holes to a 7/16x14 thread. No need to drill, just run the tap over the existing threads and it will cut the new threads you need without too much effort.

The shank of the studs is factory O.D. to allow normal oiling of the crankshaft and bearings.

Kit includes:

  1. 20 Ovesized Main Studs (Suregrip)
  2. 21 Nuts (one extra for the oil pickup tube)
  3. Installation guide sheet.

Torque the nuts to a final 38 ft lbs with no oil on the threads. No thread sealant or thread locker to be used, anywhere.

Fits all 1996-2011 Northstar engine applications.
